Quick Order Notes is a Shopify embedded app that helps merchants apply notes and tags to Shopify orders in bulk and manage reusable order note templates inside Shopify admin.

1. Information We Access

Quick Order Notes accesses limited Shopify store information only as needed to provide the app.

• Shop information such as the Shopify store domain and app installation status.
• Limited merchant account and session information provided by Shopify for authentication and embedded app operation, such as the merchant or staff member's name, email address, language or locale, account role, and session identifiers.
• Order information needed to display orders and apply notes and tags.
• Customer first and last name only, accessed from Shopify, because it is required for merchants to accurately identify and verify the correct orders before applying notes and tags, especially during bulk workflows.
• Merchant-created note templates, app settings, usage records, and billing or plan status.

Quick Order Notes does not collect, use, or process customer email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or payment information.

2. How We Use Information

Quick Order Notes uses this information only to provide the app's stated functionality.

• To authenticate the merchant and keep the embedded app session working inside Shopify admin.
• To maintain secure app sessions and verify app installation status.
• To display Shopify orders inside the app.
• To show customer first and last name beside orders because it is required for order identification and verification before notes and tags are applied.
• To create, save, and manage reusable order note templates.
• To apply notes and tags to Shopify orders at the merchant's direction.
• To manage app usage and billing plan information for the merchant's store.

Customer first and last name is required to ensure merchants can accurately identify and verify orders before applying notes or tags, particularly in bulk workflows where multiple similar orders may exist. It is not used for marketing, advertising, profiling, analytics unrelated to app functionality, or any other secondary purpose.

3. Source of Information

The information used by Quick Order Notes comes from Shopify through the Shopify Admin API and from information entered by the merchant in the app.

Merchant account and session details are supplied by Shopify as part of app installation, authentication, and ongoing embedded app access.

4. Data Sharing

Quick Order Notes does not sell merchant information or customer first and last name accessed through Shopify. Information is shared only as needed to operate the app and its infrastructure.

• Shopify provides the platform and API through which store information is accessed and updated.
• The app is hosted using Railway and secure application infrastructure.

5. Data Retention

Quick Order Notes accesses Shopify information in real time and does not store customer name data beyond what is necessary for immediate app functionality.

The app stores only minimal operational data required to provide its functionality, such as templates, app settings, usage records, billing status, and merchant session details needed for authentication and secure app access.

6. Uninstall and Data Deletion

When the app is uninstalled from Shopify, Quick Order Notes immediately loses access to Shopify store data.

App-stored data such as templates, settings, and usage records is deleted through the app's uninstall process, except where limited retention is required for legal, billing, or security obligations.

7. Security

Quick Order Notes uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect data. This includes secure infrastructure, access controls, and encryption in transit between Shopify, the app, and its hosting environment.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
